Amaya serves as a Registered Nurse, Advanced Holistic Lactation Consultant (in training), IBCLC, and Community-Based Doula. She graduated from Oral Roberts University (ORU) with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Nursing Midwifery program at Baylor University.
Her interest in perinatal health began at ORU when she first heard about the grave disparities in maternal and infant health outcomes in the United States. With nursing experience in High-Risk Obstetrics and Labor and Delivery, her love and passion for holistic perinatal health and wellness has continued to grow. She believes in the power of women and their ability to grow, birth, and nourish their babies. She desires to be a part of empowering, person-centered, safe, non-judgemental spaces where birth is revered and the sacredness of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum is restored. She is ecstatic to be a part of the Innovations team and looks forward to serving women and families in the Tulsa area.

T’Kia currently serves the community in the role of lactation consultant (trained in oral habilitation through Masterclass), breastfeeding counselor, and doula.
Born and raised in Oklahoma City, T’Kia is very family-oriented, a loving wife, and travel enthusiast. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science and a minor in African-American Studies. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., community and serving have always been core values of hers.
After undergoing many fertility treatments and seeing the lack of available resources for families during this period, T’Kia quickly became interested in ways to support people on their journey to parenthood. It was after a successful round of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and the beautiful homebirth of her daughter in 2020, that she dove into becoming a certified doula and lactation supporter. She strongly believes that empowering families to make informed decisions on family planning, pregnancy/labor, and breastfeeding begins with education.

Rachelle is all about the beautiful chaos of motherhood and the joy of helping moms and their precious babies. As a wife and mother of four amazing children, She cherishes every moment spent with family. Additionally, when she is not with family her nights are spent nights providing hands on support to mothers and their precious newborns throughout the postpartum phase, offering guidance along their remarkable journey of motherhood. Beyond her roles as a wife, mother, and mother/baby nurse you might find Rachelle grooving to music or dancing like nobody's watching, it's her go to stress reliever.
Rachelle’s journey into nursing was sparked after having her own personal struggles with breastfeeding her first child. This was a journey that has enriched her life in countless ways. She knew from the very beginning that She had a strong desire to help mothers and babies. So in order to combine her love for motherhood and dedication to breastfeeding education She went on to earn a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Langston University. Working as a nurse and CBS is not just a profession, it's her passion. Rachelle knows firsthand how this can be challenging for both mother and baby when there is an absence of resources, knowledge, and support. Breastfeeding not only strengthens the bond between a mother and her child but also supplies vital nourishment. If able to provide that to the both of them then I have done my job
That's why she is committed to filling that void in our community, striving to be the person women can turn to for guidance and counsel. Rachelle feels so incredibly blessed to be a part of this amazing team, and she is ready to do the work. So, whether you're a first-time mom or on baby number four, let's navigate this amazing journey together.
