Welcome to the IBCLC Intensive Course, led by Montika Collins, MA, BS, BSN, RN, CLC, IBCLC, the esteemed Founder, President, and Executive Director of Innovations Family Wellness. This comprehensive program delves into the intricacies of lactation consulting, offering a holistic approach to supporting breastfeeding maternal-infant dyads.
Throughout this intensive course, participants will explore a diverse array of topics crucial to their lactation practice. From the incorporation of health and wellness coaching techniques to facilitate breastfeeding success to the utilization of herbs in lactation and understanding their effects, and more.
Breastfeeding Education

Aimed to provide expecting parents with the tools to successfully provide baby with human milk, confidently. Key concepts will include pregnancy prep, breast anatomy, milk production, common myths, latching, how to find support, and so much more. Understand the challenges of breastfeeding with a look of first month benchmarks and how to prepare without feeling overwhelmed.

Two part course covering:
Pregnancy: Anatomy, preeclampsia, maintaining a healthy pregnancy tips, proper nutrition, and more.
Medical Procedures: Decision-making, induction, fetal monitoring, IVs, analgesics, epidural anesthesia, labor and pushing positions with epidural, episiotomy, as more.
Labor: Pain theories, 5 P's of labor, signs labor is near, onset of labor, stages of labor, and the importance of skin-to-skin contact.
Comfort Techniques: Birth preferences, labor support, breathing, relaxation, massage, , labor & pushing positions, back labor, and partner support.
